Designs On Jewellery

There is a Christmas Fair at the Forest Arts Centre in New Milton on 23rd November. There will be contemporary crafts of all kinds on display, including Designs On Jewellery.

Today I finished making my first fingerprint pendant

It has been made from PMC (precious metal clay) and I used Liver of Sulphur to enhance the fingerprint and kisses… it was a success and I had a very happy customer!!

The evening was a great success, working with World Jungle to create a fun day in Northleach, Gloucestershire. We had a variety of activities, such as henna tattoos, African model making, African drumming, circus skills, DJing and jewellery making!! During the course of the evening I made 18 ribbon wrapped bracelets with the local children. The workshop provided quick and simple entertainment, with a lovely product at the end, which the children could take home. All in all a great success! See you at Dursley for more bracelet making on 27th August, 6-8pm!

Well…

I had a great day at the first day of Hamble week yesterday! And then today I delivered my first collection of jewellery to the Spice Art Studios in Bitterne Park, Southampton. The collection included Sterling Silver jewellery and Spoon pendants.

I then relaxed this afternoon by making this cool bracelet! It is made using a suede strap - it has pre-punched holes and poppers on the end. I got all the items needed for this from my local bead shop… Distinctive Designs Bead Bar in Titchfield. I then used a selection of green and blue beads, most of which are glass… the lime green ones are made from Palm Tree Nuts! and are gorgeous!!!!

For this outing I decided to make a new shelf unit to add height to my stall. Made very simply from MDF and dowel I think it works well! The unit slots together easily to make setting up and taking apart quick! It definately was a success, with passing customers commenting and complimenting!

I also made some new necks to display my necklaces. These were very quick to make from acrylic sheet and dowel… I will be adding a tutorial on how to make your own display items soon!
